This project involved the design and development of a portfolio website for a figurative impressionist painter, with the primary goal of showcasing artwork in a clean, immersive, and visually compelling way. The challenge was to balance aesthetic expression with usability—allowing the paintings to take center stage while ensuring intuitive navigation and a seamless browsing experience across devices. The site structure was kept deliberately minimal, focusing on curated galleries, individual artwork views, and a clear path for potential clients or collectors to get in touch.
From a UX/UI perspective, the project emphasized visual hierarchy, image optimization, and responsive behavior, particularly due to the high volume of media content. Careful attention was given to layout consistency, typography, and color palette to reflect the artist’s identity without overpowering the work itself. The result is a performant, elegant digital space that enhances the perception of the artwork while supporting the artist’s professional presence online.
